October in Maine is extremely busy because it is prime foliage season! We recommend booking lodging as soon as you can as prices will continue to go up. Below are some recommendations but feel free to reach out to Becky with any questions around lodging.
Portland Harbor Hotel
Our favorite hotel in Portland and where we will be staying. While they don't offer blocks or discounted pricing, we suggest making reservations as early as possible as their October books up quickly! Make sure to grab a drink and sit by the firepit on the back patio.
Canopy by Hilton
Opening this summer and situated along the waterfront, our hotel is within four blocks of downtown. Explore the neighborhood with our complimentary Canopy bikes and find dozens of unique shops, restaurants, galleries, and trails within a mile. Portland Regency Hotel & Spa
Another favorite of ours! Centrally located with a full-service spa, the Regency is an elegant, and cozy historical gem in the Old Port. While they cannot offer a discounted rate, the sooner you book the better.

A bit of a fancier option, the Press Hotel is Portland's first lifestyle boutique Autograph Collection hotel located in the former Portland Press Herald building. Featuring vintage touches throughout, Becky actually worked with the agency that helped brand this hotel.

If you want to look at local rental options, search for places in Downtown Portland on the peninsula where everything is walkable. If you are planning to have a car, Cape Elizabeth which is 10 minutes outside of Portland has some beautiful options by the ocean. Note that if you do stay outside of the greater Portland area, you will have to provide your own transportation to and from the wedding venue.
